Tour Manager

Responsibilities:
  • Tour Planning: Collaborate with travel agencies or clients to develop tour itineraries tailored to their preferences and requirements. Research destinations, attractions, accommodations, and transportation options to create comprehensive tour packages.
  • Logistics Management: Arrange transportation, accommodations, and meals for tour groups. Coordinate schedules and ensure timely departures, arrivals, and transfers throughout the tour.
  • Customer Service: Serve as the primary point of contact for tour participants, addressing inquiries, providing assistance, and resolving any issues that may arise during the tour. Strive to exceed customer expectations and enhance their overall experience.
  • Staff Coordination: Recruit, train, and supervise tour guides and support staff. Provide guidance and support to ensure that all team members perform their duties effectively and maintain high standards of professionalism.
  • Financial Management: Develop tour budgets, monitor expenses, and negotiate contracts with vendors to optimize costs while maintaining quality standards. Keep accurate records of expenditures and revenues, and prepare financial reports as needed.
  • Safety and Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and safety standards throughout the tour. Implement emergency protocols and procedures to handle unforeseen circumstances and prioritize the well-being of tour participants.
  • Marketing and Promotion: Assist in marketing efforts to attract potential clients and promote tour packages. Collaborate with marketing teams to develop promotional materials, utilize social media platforms, and attend travel fairs or exhibitions to showcase offerings.
  • Continuous Improvement: Solicit feedback from clients and tour participants to identify areas for improvement and enhance the quality of tour services. Stay updated on industry trends, new destinations, and emerging technologies to innovate tour offerings and remain competitive in the market.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Tourism, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in tour operations, travel agency, or hospitality industry.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in relevant computer software and booking systems.
  • Knowledge of local and international travel regulations.
  • Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.
  • Flexibility to work irregular hours and travel as required.
  • Fluency in multiple languages may be advantageous, depending on the target clientele.
