We also provide support services for the Sales, Finance, Engineering, Procurement, and IT sectors within the group.
Post of Accounting Manager

The ideal candidate should be fully qualified from a recognized professional body (CIMA/ACCA preferred) with a minimum of 4-5 years of post-qualification experience. This role would involve overseeing all of the financial activities of the foreign facility including the following key responsibilities; 

  • Responsible for overall submission of management accounts, financial accounts including variance analysis to the higher management.
  • Active involvement in formulating annual budgets and monthly EBITDA forecasts
  • Strong credit management skills to ensure customers pay within agreed payment terms and chasing for payments if necessary.
  • Overall responsibility over accounts payable and receivable functions.
  • Liaising with US local government institutions with regard to government contracts (SAMS/PIEE) 
  • Active involvement in Annual Cycle count process. 
  • Overall responsibility of annual statutory accounts and submission of various financial reports compiling with US GAAP reporting requirements. 
  • High level of accuracy and consistency of maintaining financial records to meet stipulated deadlines. 
  • Reviewing of General ledger reconciliations balance sheet reconciliation on monthly basis.

Required Competencies 
  • Well conversant in Microsoft Office Package and proficiency in Microsoft Excel is a must 
  • Experience in an ERP system would be an added advantage
  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills, together with the self confidence in presentation skills to interact professionally with a globally diverse group of executives and managers is essential 
  • Strong inter personnel skills with ability to work as a team
  • Should be enthusiastic and self-motivated to cope up with internal/external environment challenges and ability to work under pressure.

The successful candidate will be offered an attractive remuneration package base on qualifications and work experience.

The successful candidate would be required to travel to our overseas facility more frequently to ensure the group policies & practices are properly followed. position requires flexibility with working hours (candidates who wish to work from home are preferred) in order to support global operations particularly in the US. (Working hours: Monday - Friday 3pm - 12 midnight).
