Description
- Plan and execute network hardware/software and backhaul link upgrades to maintain network quality of services KPIs.
- Follow-up and coordinate with vendors and internal/external stakeholders to resolve issues and achieve project timelines.
- Managing logical and physical network resources
- Assigning network parameters for network upgrade/downgrade activities
- Preparing work orders to share technical details with regional network development and operation teams.
- Facilitate testing transport network solution/features to improve availability, QoS or manageability of the transport network.
- Preparing period project execution status update reports to management.
- Ensure all racks, nodes and cables are properly installed, labelled and maintained according to the defined standards.
- Maintain physical location records of all IP network nodes installed in the Dialog main data centres.
- Carry out joint site visits with internal and external stakeholders to Dialog data centres and remote sites to arrange space/power requirements for upgrades.
- Analyse and Identify the service impact of planned maintenance activities.
Entry Requirements
- NVQ level 5/IVQ level 5 qualification is compulsory
- City and Guilds Advanced Diploma/HNDE/NDT/NDES/Diploma in Technology (OUSL)/Advanced Diploma in Telecommunications Technology/Advanced Diploma in Constructive Technology/National Diploma in Engineering Technology etc
- Strong team player with the ability to work independently
- Motivation to learn new skills and technologies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Previous experience in configuring and installing Cisco, Huawei, etc.. IP MPLS routers and switches
