About the job
We have an exciting opportunity for a Sustainability Coordinator to join Cinnamon Life Integrated Resort, the anticipated 1 billion USD project, opening in late 2024. Cinnamon Life Integrated Resort is a part of Cinnamon Hotels & Resorts, Sri Lanka's largest Hotel owner with a portfolio of 15 Hotels and Resorts in Sri Lanka and the Maldives. It is a member of John Keells Holdings PLC, one of the largest listed conglomerates in Sri Lanka.
Reporting to the Director, Sustainability and you will be coordinating the planning and implementation of sustainability strategies within the resort and will support the project management of new and existing projects. The goal is to ensure that all resort practices and services offered are environmentally friendly and align with government rules and regulations.
Additionally, as a Sustainability Coordinator you will be involved in managing relevant reporting, aligning with company guidelines, addressing trends, stakeholder input and concerns, and aligning with corporate strategy and directions. Collaboration with Executive Committee members and Heads of Departments is essential to implement sustainable alternatives to existing processes and practices. You will be also overseeing lead improvement initiatives implemented by the Director of Sustainability and Compliance, as well as identifying and coordinating new business development opportunities and contributing to new product/service development.
