Management Accountant
Profile
- Manage all finance related aspects of the Firm in accordance with the rules and regulations of the of the SEC, CSE and CDS.
- Monitor all client transactions in accordance with the SEC and CSE regulations and provide all necessary information and returns to the SEC and CSE.
- Maintain complete and accurate records of all finance related activities and ensure that all required information is sent to the SEC and the CSE as required under the relevant regulations.
- Ensure that all Management Information is provided to the Board and the Management as and when required.
- Maintain all Accounting related information in the Accounting systems and produce reports when required.
- Monitor activities of the Investment Advisors and the credit limits extended to clients. Highlight and report any anomalies, unusual transactions and any other aspect that requires further probing.
- Accurate and timely submission of all SEC, CSE and Central Bank returns and periodic Financial Statements.
- Ensure that the Annual Audits are completed in accordance with the relevant standards, requirements of the SEC and the CSE, and are completed within the stipulated timelines.
- Monitor accounts and highlight any unusual transactions to the Board and the Management.
- Educate the Investment Advisors with regard to best practices and changes to regulations on an on-going basis, encouraging a learning culture within the Firm.
- Manage the Financial Management and Reporting function within the Firm in a way that the Firm is not reprimanded by the SEC, CSE and the Central Bank in anyway whatsoever. Ensure that the Firm is not given any demerit points.
Qualification
- Shall possess a degree in Finance/ Accounting/ Business Administration or an equivalent professional qualification in Accounting/ Finance.
- Fair knowledge in regulatory compliance, anti-money laundering and corporate governance
- Good interpersonal skills
- Approximately 5 years experience in a similar role.
