Senior Associates ( Transaction Support & General Ledger)
We are looking for a highly motivated individual who can work independently and is passionate for numbers to join our team for a Power & Energy company in the Middle East. This position will be based in Sri Lanka. Our client is a developer, Investor and operator of power generation and desalinated water plants with 64 assets in operation, construction, or advanced development across 13 countries, with an investment value in excess 66 Billion.
The Person Requirements
- Pursuing CA Sri Lanka/CIMA/ACCA or Degree holder.
- Age between 25 -35 with 1-2 years of related experience.
- Understanding of Accounting Standards.
- Experience working with reputed ERP systems. Oracle is preferred.
- Good working knowledge of Excel.
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Fluency in English, both written and verbal as you will work closely with the Operational teams.
Role for Transaction Support
- Provide daily and periodic support on transaction processing across accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliation, fixed assets and related areas.
- Follow transaction support processes and relevant quality control guidelines to ensure quality and accuracy.
- Effective and regular follow up with client teams on supporting documents and information for recording transactions as required.
- Prepare month end schedules and reconciliations.
- Work closely with the client finance teams.
Role for General Ledger
- Prepare and process accounting entries related to General Ledger in ERP system.
- Prepare month end schedules and reconciliations.
- Perform assigned tasks related to month end closure.
