Job Requirements
- Between the age of 35 and 50
- Develop and implement the company's risk management framework, policies, and procedures to identify, assess, monitor, and mitigate risks across all business activities
- Establish risk appetite and tolerance levels in alignment with the company's strategic objectives and regulatory requirements
- Lead the risk assessment process, including identifying key risks, evaluating their potential impact, and prioritizing mitigation efforts
- Conduct stress testing and scenario analysis to assess the resilience of the company's risk management framework under adverse conditions
- Oversee the design and implementation of risk measurement and reporting systems to provide timely and accurate risk information to senior management and the Board of Directors
- Collaborate with business units to ensure that risk considerations are integrated into strategic planning, decision- making processes, and product/service development
- Monitor external factors such as regulatory changes, market trends, and economic conditions that may impact the company's risk profile, and adjust risk management strategies accordingly
- Coordinate with internal audit, compliance, and other functions to ensure alignment and effectiveness of risk management activities
- Provide guidance and training to employees on risk management principles, practices, and tools
- Serve as the primary point of contact for regulators and external auditors on risk-related matters
Experience and Qualifications
- Possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in Risk Management in a Bank or Finance Company
- A Bachelor's degree/professional qualification in finance, economics, business administration, or a related field
- Excellent Communications skills in English and Sinhala is mandatory, ability to converse in Tamil shall be an added advantage
This is a Senior Management position and the candidate will report to the Board member heading the Integrated Risk Management Committee, with functional reporting the CEO.
