M Data Zone Pvt (Ltd) is a newly founded digital and database marketing company in Sri Lanka. We have 2 stister comapnies in Canada. We provide Digital services including SEO, Local Area Marketing (LAM), Paid Search, Content, Publishing (across all SM networks), and database management. We provide services in Sri Lanka and Canada currently but are rapidly expanding given our work in the technology sector. We are a virtual team. The successful candidate will be supporting the Canadian office and growing local Sri Lankan and/or overseas businesses.
Job Description:
As a SQL Server Developer at MDATAZONE, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and maintaining robust database solutions to support our software applications. You will collaborate closely with our development team to ensure seamless integration of database functionality, optimize performance, and enhance the overall user experience. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of SQL Server development principles, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain SQL Server databases to support software applications.
- Write efficient and optimized SQL queries, stored procedures, triggers, and functions.
- Perform database tuning and optimization to maximize performance and scalability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and define database architecture.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues in a timely manner.
- Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with best practices.
- Develop and maintain documentation related to database design, architecture, and processes.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Proven 2 years minimum experience as a SQL Server Developer or Database Developer.
- Strong proficiency in SQL programming and database design principles.
- Hands-on experience with SQL Server tools and technologies (e.g., SSMS, SSIS, SSRS).
- Experience with performance tuning and optimization techniques.
- Knowledge of database security best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in SQL Server administration or development.
- Experience with other database platforms (Postgresql ).
- Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies.
- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and techniques.
- Experience with cloud-based database solutions (e.g., Azure SQL Database, AWS RDS).
