Senior Project Manager (Renewable Energy)

As renewables continues to grow, so do the opportunities. A new position has opened up in our team with a focus on projects across Sri Lanka, Bangladesh & Asia. The Senior Project Developer is responsible for the project management of internal and external activities for the development of primarily wind & solar energy projects ensuring that projects progress to pre-construction phase while recognizing schedule, cost vand quality expectations.

In this role you will have the opportunity to work with a close knit, collaborative Development team and cross functionally with technical teams within the wider Engineering and Construction department.

Required Skills and Competencies
  • Tertiary qualifications in either town and regional planning, environmental planning, commerce, business management, science or engineering.
  • Must have experience in the development of wind projects (can come from land or environment etc background).
  • Understanding of the grid connection process as it relates to local renewable energy developments.
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate successful project development outcomes with key government and non-government stakeholders.
  • Available to travel regularly to regional and international locations as required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the overall delivery of wind and solar farm projects through to investment case stage.
  • Engagement with the relevant authorities to progress environmental and planning approvals.
  • Provision of accurate and timely assessment of development issues, risks and opportunities.
  • Manage development issues as they emerge within projects with the appropriate stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain trusting and productive project landholder relationships from initiation through to construction handover.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders including local, state and federal government staff and local community representatives.
  • Liaise regularly with.
