Account Executive
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, ensuring timely recording of transactions and reconciling accounts.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and presentations for management, providing valuable insights to support decision-making processes.
- Assist in developing budgets and forecasts, actively participating in the planning process to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
- Conduct thorough cost and variance analyses to identify cost-saving opportunities and enhance operational efficiency.
- Support audit processes, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal controls.
- Ensure strict adherence to tax compliance and review bank forecasting for funding purposes.
- Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting processes, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting for retail brands and product lines.
- Review analyses conducted by the team before submission to stakeholders, ensuring data integrity and reliability.
- Manage day-to-day cash flows, oversee cash management activities, and optimize liquidity.
- Implement standardized operating procedures (SOPs), policies, payment processes, and workflows to streamline financial processes and enhance operational efficiency.
- Foster positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field OR a part qualification in CIMA (UK), ACCA (UK), CA (SL), or CIMA (SL).
- 2-3 years of experience in accounting or finance roles, preferably in a similar capacity.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Click Up) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Proactive mindset with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
- Knowledge of the dairy industry or food manufacturing industry is a plus.
