Chief Accountant | Tangalle
We are seeking an outstanding and dynamic person with great leadership skills and a high level of commitment, along with the following requirements and qualifications to join our luxury boutique hotel in Tangalle.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Leading the finance team within the scope of the company’s financial policies and controls in meeting the group’s strategies and objectives.
- Preparation and submission of financial and management reports in accordance with prescribed timelines.
- Establish and continually audit all internal financial controls including purchasing, cash handling, disbursements, inventories, hotel assets, master keys, payroll and employee records.
- Prepare the annual budget and 5-year LRP.
- Complete ad hoc requests when required.
- Work closely with the Cluster Financial Controller and General Manager of the property
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of 5-year previous hotel experience in the same capacity is an advantage
- Two to three years of Assistant Controller/Controller experience in Hospitality Accounting operations or comparable experience
- Fully or partly qualified from a recognized accounting body (e.g., ACA, CIMA, ACCA, IAB, IFA etc.)
- knowledge of accounting software such as SUN, PROLIFIC, OPERA, etc.
- High Fluency in oral and written English
- Age preferably below 55 years (both genders are encouraged to apply)
- Residing in the Tangalle district or around would be an added advantage.

- Time management and ability to work under pressure.
