Role Description
  • We are searching for enthusiastic, knowledgeable and experienced Study Abroad Counsellors to join our growing team.  In this role, you will be responsible for guiding students through the entire study abroad process, from initial enquiry to university application, visa application and other related assistance.
  • This is a full-time on-site role based in Colombo. As a Study Abroad Counsellor, you will assist students interested in studying in Australia, UK, Canada, and New Zealand. This includes providing personalized guidance and assisting with foreign universities and colleges.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct in-depth consultations with students to understand their academic goals, interests, and financial situation.
  • Research and recommend universities and programs that are a good fit for each student.
  • Assist students with the application process, including SOP, letters of recommendation, and transcripts etc.
  • Guide students through scholarship and financial aid opportunities.
  • Provide support to the students with visa application requirements and pre-departure orientation.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest admission requirements, immigration policies, and educational trends in Australia, the UK, Canada, and New Zealand.
  • Maintain strong relationships with students, universities and other partner institutions in these countries.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in study abroad student counselling.
  • In-depth knowledge of the education systems in Australia, the UK, Canada, and New Zealand (highly preferred).
  • Excellent communication, written, and verbal skills in English and local languages.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to build rapport and trust with students and families.
  • Passion for education and a desire to help students achieve their academic goals.
