We are hiring a talented draftsman to support our in-house infrastructural design team in full-time basis.
Senior CAD Draftsman - Jaffna
Job description
Our clients are usually Multi-National Companies (MNCs), who involve in the Mega infrastructure construction projects (Underground and above-ground). As part of the team, you will need to develop layouts, plans, sections and other miscellaneous details of underground / above-ground infrastructures for tender and/or detailed design stages, according to the client’s specifications. Generally, the designs undergo frequent changes and inevitably require updating of drawings in daily basis. Therefore, you may need to possess an accommodating culture in day-to-day activities. At times, the team may need to work according to target basis to meet the client’s due dates.
Responsibilities:
- Preparing layouts, plans, sections, profiles and miscellaneous details with respect to geotechnical, structural, and civil works.
- Preparing sketches to suit client’s need/specifications.
- Meeting with engineers, draftsmen and similar technical personnels.
- Checking emails and similar communication methods (e.g.: Teams/WhatsApp) regularly to work with a team.
- Keeping lists of drawings, maintain them, updating the status regularly – in cloud system.
The minimum requirements are as follows:
- Educational Qualifications: National Certificate in Engineering Draftsmen ship (NCED) and/or National Vocational Qualification Level 4 (NVQ Level – 04) and higher
- Skills: AutoCAD (Knowledge in MicroStation, Revit, and BIM would be added benefit)
- Experience: Minimum 3~5 years
- Language: English (MUST) and Tamil/Sinhala
- State/Location: Northern (Jaffna), Sri Lanka.
Job highlights
- You may require working across the country borders (e.g.: to work with time zones of UTC+08.00) to communicate virtually with other drafters/engineers.
- Works start at 7 a.m. (according to Sri Lankan Time)
- Working hours 8 hours (excluding lunch hour) Singapore annual calendar will be applicable.
