Commission & Accounts Assistant

Background
  • To assist with all day-to-day accounting aspects for a Company based in the UK, including commissions processing, preparation of Management Information relating to commissions received by and paid out by the Company to its advisers and lead providers.

Key Responsibilities 

Accounting
  • Any bookkeeping for the Company on Xero, including bank reconciliations and other balance sheet accounts as requested.
  • Preparations of weekly banked sheets
  • Clawback analysis of Insurance Products
  • Providing information on the performance of the Company to the Directors as required
  • Maintaining all financial information on the Company’s operational CRM system. 

Commissions Processing
  • Analysis and review of the Company’s commission statements, ensuring the Comms system is updated with the latest commission statements. 
  • Complete Adviser banking sheet
  • Maintain Accessible banking and payout sheet.
  • Check cases for Company’s Admin fees.
  • Process payments from clients and membership fees from Advisers if required.
  • Maintain records for the retention account.
  • Maintain percentage payout check sheet.
  • Comms received sheet call centre.
  • Clawbacks call centre analysis.

Attributes and Qualifications
  • Age below 30
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both spoken and written.
  • Possessing an HND/degree or an equivalent qualification in accounting or finance
  • Can do attitude with an inquisitive mind 
  • A minimum of 2 years accounting experience with financial services businesses
  • Candidates should be adaptable to UK Office hours: Monday to Friday, 2.30pm to 10.30pm in the winter and 1.30pm to 9.30pm in the summer (SL time).
  • A need to work collaboratively and constructively with all members of staff particularly the executive management team.
