Executive Finance (Tax)
We have an exciting opportunity for an Executive, Finance (Tax), to join Cinnamon Life Integrated Resort, the much anticipated 1 billion USD project, opening in late 2024. Cinnamon Life Integrated Resort is part of Cinnamon Hotels & Resorts, Sri Lanka's largest Hotel owner with a portfolio of 15 Hotels and Resorts in Sri Lanka and the Maldives. It is a member of John Keells Holdings PLC, one the largest listed conglomerates in Sri Lanka.
Reporting to the Assistant Manager, Finance, you will be accountable for ensuring the hotel's compliance with state tax regulations. This encompasses the precise and punctual preparation and submission of various tax returns, staying current on changes in tax laws, and establishing efficient record-keeping systems for tax-related documentation. Working closely with the finance team, you will contribute to the preparation of financial statements and reports, providing expertise in tax-related entries. Furthermore, this role entails tax planning, the identification of opportunities for savings, and the execution of financial analysis with a focus on tax implications. Facilitating and coordinating tax audits and promptly addressing any queries will also constitute key aspects of this role. Your responsibilities will extend to assessing and mitigating tax-related risks, ensuring the overall financial health of our esteemed hotel.
Possessing a strong background in finance and taxation will be an essential pre-requisite for the role.
