Accountant
Our Australian based company is excited to announce a job opportunity for the role of finance accountant. If you are an well -experienced and dynamic candidate, aged below 35, with the background of experience working with QuickBooks and being convenient working in the Pannipitiya office, you are the one we are looking forward to inviting to consider this opportunity.
Key responsibilities
- Preparing the Financial Statements in accordance with relevant accounting standards.
- Sound technical knowledge in accounting, funds, and financial instruments to carry out work assigned.
- Ability to understand client and jurisdiction requirements and conform to them for all deliverables.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with fund policies, legal requirements, and industry regulations.
- Assist in the coordination of external audits and regulatory examinations, providing necessary documentation and explanations to auditors.
- Implement audit recommendations and improve internal controls.
Key requirements
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, Xero is highly required.
- A degree in commerce/finance will be an advantage.
- Partial qualification in CIMA/ACCA
- Minimum of 2+ years
- Working for a foreign client. The experience of working for an Australian based company will be an additional qualification.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Proficiency in MS Office packages
- Ability to work autonomously and with minimal supervision.
- Excellent time management skills to priorities tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail
- Eligible to work within the 7.00am to 4.00pm time slot.
