WE ARE LOOKING FOR PURCHASING OFFICER
We are seeking an experienced Purchasing Officer to handle the procurement activities of our boutique hotels. The purchasing officer is responsible to obtain quotations and samples from suppliers on receipt of the purchase requisition form and purchase the goods and deliver on timely manner to the hotels.
Visiting various markets sourcing materials, goods, products, and services and negotiating the best or most cost- effective contracts and deals. Maintaining positive relationships with suppliers and coordinating with internal teams regarding their supply needs and should be able to purchase all required items and deliver to the hotel on week basis.
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Diploma in Purchasing and Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Business Administration preferred.
- Over five (03) years of experience in a similar capacity preferably in hotel purchasing.
- Deep knowledge in inventory and supply chain management.
- High computer literacy especially in MS Word and MS Excel
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Two years' experience in buying role
- Ability to multi-task and perform under pressure and great organizational and planning skills.
- Effectively communicating with the management team to ensure all orders are accurate
- Ability to identify market trends and make decisions in a high-stress environment.
- The ideal candidate should have a valid driving license.
- Age preferably below 50 years
