Container and GC Terminal Leader / Project Manager
Would you like to support container and GC terminals globally to improve their operations and as a Project Manager support our clients’ endeavor of becoming the best in class, support operations organizational changes, manage implementations of TOS and manage operations go-live, and more. Seaport Group BV does also implement automated container terminals.
You might come from a commercial, operational or IT leadership position in the container industry, as long as you can prove effective in leading and directing high-performance teams.
Over the course of the next few years, we guide you to grow into an experienced international container terminal industry Project Manager with a network or foreign managers and decision makers, who actively contributes to the deployment and development of our services.
Challenges you will face:
- We need you to maintain our customer relationships.
- Direct and manage project development from beginning to end of the full life cycle of the project.
- Building long lasting relationships with customers
- Work directly with MDs, CEOs, COOs, CIOs, and other senior management and stakeholders to clearly define project scope, objectives, goals, timelines, resources and key project deliverables.
- Conduct critical meetings for project kick-off, status reports, and steering committee meetings with senior leadership.
- Supporting customers with implementation and optimization of their terminal operations.
A little bit about what we are looking for in a Project Manager:
- Minimum leader and/or project management experience, with excellent communication skills.
- Prior experience in managing and developing key client relationships.
- Profound knowledge of terminal operations or profound knowledge of container TOS and automated gate systems.
- University degree in a relevant education i.e. with strong analytical skills.
- Strong knowledge of project management principles, methodologies, and tools
- Someone who can think “out of the box” and make recommendations that add value to our clients:
- Excellent writing skills in English language.
- Willingness to travel extensively in periods.
- Enjoys being exposed to customers, build a network and visit trade shows.
- Prior experience or exposure in business consulting is a bonus.
