A star-classified hotel chain in Koggala is seeking enthusiastic and dynamic professionals for the following position.

Chef De Partie – Sous Chef - Koggala 

Assist the executive chef with an array of tasks in the kitchen including preparation of food, Management of staff, Maintaining SOPs, Health & Safety standards coupled with excellent guest service.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead the kitchen team in the absence of the Executive Chef.
  • Ensure that food storage units are well-managed first-in, first -out food rotation system in is place; food products are accurately dated and organized for quality assurance.
  • Provide guidance to kitchen team including, but not limited to line cooking, food preparation and dish plating and supervise all food preparation and presentation to ensure quality and standard
  • Work with the Executive Chef to maintain perfect order in the kitchen, nurture and train staff in their respective skills.

REQUIREMENTS
  • Diploma in Cookery from a recognized hotel school.
  • Minimum experience of 3 to 5 years as a chef at commis level; Experience in a la carte / banquette meal preparation at reputed hotels/restaurants in a similar capacity is considered an advantage.
  • Excellent understanding of varied cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
  • Great personal hygiene and grooming standards with outstanding verbal and written communication skills in English language and Sinhala coupled with computer literacy in MS Office software.
