Executive - Operations

The Job Role
  • Demonstrate full proficiency with the operation procedures outlined in the shipping department's operations manual.
  • Respond promptly to inquiries from Principals/customers and manage operations as allocated by Managers/Assistant Managers.
  • Keep abreast of the latest operation procedures within the shipping department to ensure compliance and efficiency. 
  • Execute entrusted duties diligently, following the checklist and procedures outlined in the operations manual. 
  • Maintain current knowledge of GAC Agent activities and other system-related operations.
  • Ensure strict adherence to GAC compliances, ethics, and sanction policies.
  • Proactively follow up on allocated jobs until completion, keeping supervisors informed of progress.
  • Follow up on balance payment collection for all handled operations.
  • Update statistical reports as requested by management to provide insights into operational performance.
  • Collaborate with the disbursement accounts department to monitor outstanding payments and promptly close unfinished jobs upon vessel departure.
  • Assist in identifying new Principals and contribute to achieving monthly KPIs and budgets.
  • Daily updates and promotion of launch facilities to existing local/foreign Principals to foster strong relationships.
  • Be on standby 24/7 to attend operations and respond to emergency requirements, including boarding vessels in and outside ports when necessary.

Skills and Experienced Required
  • Prior 2- or 3-years experience in a similar role within the shipping industry.
  • Hold a diploma or degree in a shipping-related field, demonstrating a solid understanding of maritime logistics and operations.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Analytical mindset with a keen eye for detail.
