Lab Technician / Demonstrator (Electrical & Electronics Engineering)
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- A qualification of NVQ Level 5 or above consisting of Electronics as an area of study.
- Previous experience in a laboratory setting, preferably in an educational or research environment.
- Strong knowledge of electrical testing equipment, electronic circuits, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with faculty, students, and staff.
- Familiarity with the latest advancements in electrical and electronic engineering technology.
- Experience with the maintenance and calibration of a variety of electrical and electronic testing equipment.
- Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software for circuit simulation, microcontroller platforms, programmable logic controllers (PLC) and Programmable Logic Devices (PLD) such as Multisim, Proteus, MATLAB, Arduino, Siemens platform for PLCs and Electrical Transmission and Distribution simulations, Xilinx platform for PLDs, etc.
