Assistant Chef - Chinese Cuisine (Male) | Colombo
We are seeking a dedicated local Assistant Chef specializing in Chinese Cuisine to join our company. This position is available in the Administration Department of our terminal operations in Port of Colombo and will report to Chef - Chinese Cuisine.
The Role
The role involves working in a Chinese kitchen and assisting the Chinese chef in preparing Chinese cuisines for Chinese expatriate staff. It also includes monitoring kitchen cleanliness, dishware, utensils, and supporting the Chefs operational efficiency and productivity.
The Person
Qualifications, Experience and other Attributes
- Professional qualifications in Culinary Arts with relevant industry certifications.
- Minimum 04 years experience in industry and to be able to execute a Chinese cuisine with excellence.
- The candidate may require to work extended working hours depending on the requirement.
- Ability to work with minimum supervision and under pressure.
- Well groomed and presentable appearance.
- Sound communication skills both in English and Sinhala languages. Ability to communicate Chinese language will be an added advantage.
- Age above 30 and male candidates are preferred due to nature of working environment.
