We're seeking a proactive and experienced individual with a passion for garment production and a knack for leadership. Suppose you have a proven track record in apparel production management, outstanding communication skills, fluency in English, both verbal and written and the flexibility to adapt to changing priorities. Job Description Summary:

PRODUCTION:
  • Manage manufacturing plants in Thailand and Sri Lanka to meet weekly Air shipment plans within 4-6 week lead time.
  • Evaluate production plans, efficiency reports, and daily output to ensure capacity goals are met.
  • Identify machinery, manpower, and training needs for continuous improvement.
  • Ensure orders meet quality and lead time requirements, addressing any issues promptly.
  • Monitor and improve productivity for low-margin products while managing costs effectively.

PROCUREMENT & SUPPLY CHAIN:
  • Drive procurement to maintain inventory levels and analyze raw material requirements. 
  • Develop new materials and suppliers, evaluating feasibility and updating critical data.
  • Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring data accuracy in ERP system.
  • Build and monitor relationships with overseas suppliers for quality, lead time, and cost benefits. 
  • Manage monthly raw material budget and identify cost-saving opportunities.

PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT:
  • Collaborate with the Development Manager to prepare factories for new projects.
  • Manage design meetings, communicate concepts, and source materials for new developments.
  • Oversee design and sample development workflow for efficient execution.

RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT:
  • Foster strong relationships with vendors to ensure partnership and negotiate pricing for optimal margins.
  • Monitor returns and collaborate with vendors on resolutions.

PEOPLE MANAGEMENT:
  • Mentor production and support teams to enhance garment construction, productivity, and procurement knowledge.
  • Lead recruitment for reporting roles in Sri Lanka and conduct performance reviews.
  • Provide support during busy periods to ensure workflow continuity.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
  • Proven experience in apparel production management.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Knowledge of production processes, quality control, and compliance standards.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and production management software.
  • Ability to analyze data, make informed decisions, and meet deadlines. 
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities in the fashion or apparel industry.
