The Ideal Candidate Should Have
- A Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement within the manufacturing industry especially into direct procurement handling raw materials and chemicals sourcing
- Strong analytical skills to assess supplier performance, evaluate market trends, and make data-driven decisions.
- Knowledge and experience in imports procedures
- Expertise in material planning & inventory management
- Excellent negotiation skills to secure favorable terms and agreements with suppliers.
- Experience in contract management handling local service providers
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
- Keen attention to detail to ensure accuracy in procurement processes and documentation.
- Proven ability to identify and address procurement-related challenges promptly and effectively.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work well within cross-functional teams.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing market conditions and evolving business needs.
- Commitment to ethical procurement practices and a strong sense of integrity.
Tasks & Responsibilities
- Identify, evaluate, and manage supplier relationships to ensure the timely and cost-effective procurement of materials, components, and services.
- Negotiate terms, conditions, and pricing with suppliers to secure favorable agreements and cost savings.
- Monitor and control procurement costs while maintaining product quality and supplier performance.
- Stay updated on market trends, industry best practices, and emerging technologies to inform procurement strategies.
- Collaborate with inventory and production teams to optimize stock levels and minimize holding costs.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks in the supply chain, including supplier performance issues, disruptions, and market fluctuations.
- Ensure procurement processes comply with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Generate reports and analyze procurement data to provide insights and recommendations for improvement.
- Proactively seek opportunities to improve procurement processes, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
