SENIOR EXECUTIVE SOUS CHEF

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Executive Sous Chef to join Cinnamon Life Integrated Resort, the much anticipated 1 billion USD project, opening in late 2024. Cinnamon Life Integrated Resort is a part of Cinnamon Hotels & Resorts, Sri Lanka's largest Hotel owner with a portfolio of 15 Hotels and Resorts in Sri Lanka and the Maldives. It is a member of John Keells Holdings PLC, one of the largest listed conglomerates in Sri Lanka.

As the Senior Executive Sous Chef, you will report directly to the Executive Chef of Cinnamon Life Integrated Resort and will conceptualize culinary themes for 15 international hotel restaurants. Your culinary expertise will shine as you infuse contemporary and authentic elements into our dishes, crafting a distinctive dining experience for our guests.

Through collaboration with clients and meticulous event planning, you will spearhead the development of bespoke menus tailored to the unique requirements of each occasion. You will assume the role of leading and training the kitchen team, ensuring meticulous standards in both food preparation and presentation. Your leadership will extend to instilling in the team a steadfast commitment to excellence and the maintenance of high-quality standards. This role extends to seamless event coordination, where collaboration with other departments, inventory management, and contribution to cost control measures are imperative. Client engagement is paramount, necessitating your collaboration to comprehend preferences, thereby guaranteeing a personalized and exceptional dining experience. Your multifaceted responsibilities include team management, and adept problem resolution during events, demonstrating your ability to navigate challenges with composure. In your role as the Executive Sous Chef, you will collaborate with the Executive Committee of the Resort to devise pre-opening strategies and ensure the fulfillment of all opening requirements within the established timelines.
