SOUS CHEF BISTRO

We have an exciting opportunity for a Sous Chef - Bistro to join Cinnamon Life Integrated Resort, the much anticipated 1 billion USD project, opening in late 2024. Cinnamon Life Integrated Resort is a part of Cinnamon Hotels & Resorts, Sri Lanka's largest Hotel owner with a portfolio of 15 Hotels and Resorts in Sri Lanka and the Maldives. Reporting to the Chef de Cuisine, Bistro, your role will involve delivering exceptional dining experiences to our esteemed patrons, showcasing your creativity and precision. Your profound understanding of gastronomy, fueled by passion, will drive you to craft unforgettable moments through the art of culinary mastery. In your capacity as the culinary virtuoso with a proven track record of innovation and leadership, you are poised to redefine the culinary narrative within our esteemed bistro.

You will actively contribute to menu planning and development, ensuring a delightful fusion of innovation and culinary expertise that resonates with customer preferences and highlights seasonal ingredients. You will be entrusted with comprehensive oversight of food preparation, maintaining unwavering standards of quality and presentation. You will play a pivotal role in staff supervision and training, providing constructive feedback to foster a positive and collaborative work environment. Demonstrating a keen eye for cost control measures, you will adeptly minimize wastage and optimize portion sizes. Your responsibilities will extend to meticulous inventory management, ensuring precision, and strict adherence to hygiene and health regulations. Active engagement with our guests and VIP guests to solicit feedback will be integral to this role, ensuring a seamless and exceptional dining experience. In your role, you will demonstrate flexibility and expertise in coordinating special events while being adept at handling unforeseen emergencies.
