We are seeking a skilled Interpreter/Translator proficient in Chinese Mandarin to join our team at Embilipitiya Paper Mills, a leading Paper Manufacturing company. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in facilitating communication between our company and Chinese-speaking clients, partners, and stakeholders
Job Profile:
- Provide interpretation services during meetings, conferences, and negotiations between English-speaking and Chinese-speaking parties.
- Translate documents, reports, correspondence, and other materials from Chinese Mandarin to English and vice versa with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Assist in the localization of marketing materials, product documentation, and technical manuals to ensure cultural appropriateness and linguistic accuracy.
- Collaborate with internal teams to support communication and coordination with Chinese-speaking suppliers, customers, and affiliates.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism while handling sensitive information and discussions.
- Stay updated on industry-specific terminology and developments to ensure accurate interpretation and translation.
Person Profile:
- Fluency in both Chinese Mandarin and English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven experience as an Interpreter/Translator, preferably in a manufacturing or international business environment.
- Strong cultural competency and understanding of Chinese business customs and etiquette.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency in translation software and tools is desirable.
- Bachelor's degree in Translation, Interpretation, Linguistics, or a related field is preferred.
