Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced, dynamic, and compassionate Human Resources Lead to join our team. As the Human Resources Lead for Uber in Sri Lanka, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of HR operations in relation to our local contract staff while supporting our regional HR team execute key strategic initiatives for our entire team.

Key Responsibilities:
People Strategy: Support Uber’s regional HR team to design and execute Uber Sri Lanka’s people strategy to support the growth of our team through the acquisition and retention of required talent.

Onboarding and Training: Implement effective onboarding programs to ensure new hires feel welcomed and equipped for success. Develop and execute an annual training calendar to enhance the team’s skills and knowledge.

Performance Management: Collaborate with management and staffing providers to carry out a timely and effective performance management program, which ensures both a positive and productive work environment for all.

Benefits Administration: Ensure the accuracy and efficiency of the monthly compensation and benefits administration process. Carry out benchmarkings as required and assist in the development and improvement of compensation and benefit structures as needed. Serve as a point of contact for inquiries regarding compensation and benefits.

HR Policy Compliance: Stay abreast of labor laws and regulations to ensure all policies and practices remain compliant. Update HR policies and procedures as necessary to reflect changes in legislation or organizational needs.

Engagement: Lead the Engagement Team to develop and implement initiatives to boost morale and engagement at the workplace, such as celebrations, team-building activities, recognition programs, and wellness initiatives.

Required:
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • PQHRM, CHRP or equivalent certification.
  • A minimum of 6 years of experience in a HR Generalist role.
  • Expertise in Sri Lanka Employment Standards.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Competent in Google Suites.

Advantageous:
  • A Master’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience in leading HR for Tech Startups.
  • Proven track record of successfully developing and implementing HR initiatives, programs, and projects.
