Transport Manager | Oliyamuna - Wattala Vehicle Yard
As the Transport Manager, you are required to ensure that accuracy and timely preparation, processing and distributing of all company deliveries on correct time to the island wide customers whenever company need it.
The Job Role
- Overseeing all transportation activities and logistic related operation to all company island wide customers, with support of sales coordinator and sales division.
- Developing and optimizing delivery routes while ensuring punctual delivery system.
- Managing activities associated with Transportation Management system (TMT) including people management.
- Compiling comprehensive transportation and logistic cost reports and ensuring the timely and accurate completion of these reports.
- Keeping and maintaining all vehicle repairs, replacement of each vehicle spare parts and logistic reports current and Up to Date.
- Generating reports on maintenance and repair requirements for all heavy and Light vehicles.
- Ensure, all vehicles spare parts purchases invoices must come along with proper GRN by checking the purchased articles physically and authorizing the GRN.
- Drivers, Helpers, security officers and Mechanic daily duty should monitor by you and submit to the HR- division by end of the month.
- Submitting daily fuel requirements daily and all vehicles are carried and monitored by GPS system.
- Responsible in monitoring the yard cash float, preparing the cash summary and submitting summary to head office finance division for reimbursement.
Requirements
- Age below 45 years.
- Communication skills in Sinhala, Tamil and fare knowledge in English is essential.
- Minimum 3-5 years of vehicle yard management operation experiences.
- Basic Qualification in Automobile Mechanical, Machinery and Technical Knowledge in Heavy vehicle would be advantages.
- Have a valid heavy vehicle Driving License.
