General Manager - Restaurant Bistro

We have an exciting opportunity for a General Manager, Restaurant - Bistro to join Cinnamon Life Integrated Resort, the much anticipated 1 billion USD project, opening in late 2024. Cinnamon Life Integrated Resort is a part of Cinnamon Hotels & Resorts, Sri Lanka's largest Hotel owner with a portfolio of 15 Hotels and Resorts in Sri Lanka and the Maldives. It is a member of John Keells Holdings PLC, one of the largest listed conglomerates in Sri Lanka.
As the General Manager, Restaurant - Bistro, you will serve as the driving force behind our establishment, blending creativity with precision to craft an unforgettable dining experience for our discerning guests. Under your leadership, our bistro will transcend mere restaurant status; it will become a destination in its own right, where each dish tells a story and every guest departs with cherished memories.

Responsible for the overall operation of our luxurious steakhouse, where every sizzle, sear, and savoury bite narrates a story of culinary craftsmanship. Your responsibilities go beyond managing daily operations; they encompass shaping the overall success of our culinary venture while delivering luxurious services that surpass international standards. You will blend creativity with precision to orchestrate a symphony of flavours and ambience that captivates discerning palates. From curating an indulgent menu to crafting unforgettable guest experiences, you will be the driving force behind our restaurant's success.

You will oversee all aspects of bistro operations, from front-of-house service to back-of-house kitchen management, ensuring seamless functioning and exceptional service delivery. Your responsibilities will span from recruiting, training, and managing a team of dedicated staff to curating an enticing menu that reflects the bistro's concept and caters to the discerning tastes of our clientele. With a keen eye for detail, you will monitor food quality, presentation, and consistency to ensure that every dish exceeds guest expectations. Financial acumen will be essential as you manage budgets, control costs, and optimize profitability while upholding the bistro's high-quality standards. You will also play a key role in developing and implementing marketing strategies to promote the bistro, increase revenue, and enhance its reputation. Through continuous improvement and innovation, you will ensure that the bistro remains a premier destination for upscale dining within the luxury hotel landscape.
